All humans need recipes, right? Even you microwave kings and queens out there snickering need recipes every now and again. What I am offering here are recipes that I love and that have recieved good reviews from my friends and family. I will mention here that, like the rest of my pages, you should find your own way. I use recipes as the skeleton and I flesh them out as appeals to me as I go along. Don't be hemmed in by someone else's ways. Create your own path and your own dinner! You may note a theme in some of my recipes...I was rushed for time and needed to throw something together.

And if you love to talk about food, then subscribe to the Pagan Table! The list was born on July 4, 1998. We exchange recipes, thoughts on preparation, favorite cookbooks, midnight snacking vices and ritual food ideas! Come join us! And P. to the S., if you are looking for my Tarot&Food project, that's here.

Arwen's Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Never thought there was a need for a how-to on Grilled Cheese until I met Kip, the short order cook. She showed me how to make a good Grilled Cheese and then I took it from there. These are simple and gourmet at the same time! Serve with a bowl of tomato soup and let me know what time lunch is!

Arwen's Creole Chicken

I am a huge fan of the one pot meal. This recipe occurred one night when I was frantic to make something and grabbing cans out of the cabinet. You can make it as spicy as you like. Tony's counts as a staple in my world! GRIN!

How to make bread

A walk through the process of creating a loaf of bread from scratch. No bread machines here, just lots of kneading and rising and fun. Try it and see. Would love feedback from anyone who tries this. I need to know if the directions are easily followed particularly in the folding the loaves part.

Arwen's Cornbread Recipe

I love cornbread! Especially with a big pot of black-eyed peas and lots of pot liquor! Try this and let me know what you think. Make the sweet variety. Trust me!

Arwen's Bloody Mary Chicken

This is something I threw together one morning when I was rushed for time. I had to get to work but I also needed to start dinner in the crockpot. I had just bought a new bottle of V-8 Spicy Hot{tm} so it was on my mind when I opened the fridge. This is what happened next!
