could it be that wasting time
is simply an answer to our fears
that we will never be
good enough
smart enough
bold enough
whatever enough

so we fritter away the hours
filling up holes with air
knowing our hearts
to be empty
to be lost
to be wretched
to be worthless

And I am wasting away.
